It’s never too early to get in the holiday spirit.
The holidays will be here sooner than you think, and with them comes the pressure of hosting tons of get-togethers with friends and fam and having a stunning set up to boot. One foolproof way to wow your guests is to pick a theme and go all out, whether you’re into all things silver and gold or like a more unconventional approach. Here, we show you 2 ways to decorate your home for the holidays so you can get that inspo going.
Cabin Cozy
When the weather outside is just too cold to deal with, you’re gonna want to set up your own winter wonderland with all the amenities. This is def more of a classic holiday look – think lots of red and green, twinkling lights, warm textures and, of course, hot cocoa to get that homey feel. Here are 3 ways you can get the look:
Cozy Up
Nothing is better than settling in (by the fire, if you’re lucky), wrapped in your fuzziest blanket to ring in the holiday. Set up a toasty little corner filled with tons of pillows and blankets so you can snuggle up and read a good book, sip on hot cocoa or stare dramatically out the window at the snowfall.
Set the Mood
Swapping out your wall art for the holidays can change the whole feel of any space and is a surefire way to set a more festive tone. Go for a textured wall hanging (these add depth and make your place look super cozy) and curate a gallery wall with a winter theme – think trees, wildlife and classic plaid.
Add Finishing Touches
Twinkling lights? Ornaments? Silver trim? Check. You can also set up a snack station using a serving tray to hold your hot cocoa, marshmallows and all the fixings. Sprinkling in the holiday cheer with these thoughtful little touches can really hone in the holiday feel and brighten up your space.

This laid-back style is for those who never wanted to say goodbye to summer. Adding in tons of bright colors and fun patterns will keep your space from looking too cookie-cutter, if that’s not your thing, all while keeping those warm, sunny days alive when you need it most. Read on for 3 things to keep in mind while crafting this look (hint: it’s all about thinking outside the box).
Go Big and Bold
Make a big statement with a bright gallery wall. Choose a few hues that are outside of the traditional holiday color palette (we like bright blues, lime greens and soft pinks) to give your set up some of those summer vibes. And be sure to switch things up, opting for different colored frames or mixing canvas prints with textured wall hangings to give your walls a little extra oomph.
Opposites Attract
Why, yes, those are cacti coexisting with pinecones. Aaand hot pink layered with shiny gold. Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns and finishing touches – think two parts summer to one part winter wonderland. Decorate a tropical houseplant (we all know you green thumb types have like ten of these anyway) instead of a traditional fir, and add in tons of bright throw pillows to balance out more neutral furniture.
Be Chill
No holiday abode is complete with a spot to get nice and snuggly. Make sure your seating is super comfy by layering pillows and blankets. You’re going to need the coziest of corners to settle in after a big holiday meal. Plus, chilling out is what this holiday look is about after all.
