You might remember last year’s amazing collab with all-female music festival, Girlschool.
Well, the three-day event is back this weekend at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles and we couldn’t be more READY. This year, we hooked up the performers and panelists with s6 x Girlschool goods designed by the incomparable Lellopepper. Check out the line-ups below with performers including the s6 featured Drum & Lace, Chelsea Jade and Moon Honey, PLUS check out our interview with Girlschool founder Anna Bulbrook if you want to learn more about how the organization came to be.
Here’s the lowdown:
Girlschool 2018 kicks off with keynote speaker Carrie Brownstein being live-interviewed by poet Morgan Parker; Shirley Manson performing Garbage songs with a very special ensemble: string quartet, harp, and the Girlschool Choir; Kristin Kontrol + The Kids—a band of literal children—with a very special guest; plus performances by Jay Som, Mereba, Amber Coffman, Boyfriend, and many more.
Plus, a conversation about activism by Whitney Bell, Ashlee Marie Preston, and Vera Papisova; a hard-hitting poetry reading curated by Jack Jones Literary Arts; a top-lining workshop with MUNA based on Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn”; interactive art installations by Dejha Ti X THINX and Elise Mesner X Nasty Gal; pop-up shops; and so much more.
