Simply stated, Now On View celebrates and showcases the artists of Society6 and their work. Get to know them—and then get lost in their gallery.

As a way of introducing yourself, who are you and what do you do?

I’m Josh Lane (aka Josh Ln). I’m a part-time illustrator and freelancer who loves to live, laugh and love! No, but in all seriousness, I am just trying to guide my kids through life while I make art in a world that needs to chill for a second.

Current city: Kansas City, Missouri

How did you make these?

Mostly, I use Adobe Illustrator and Wacom. I do have a lot of love for the InkPad app for the iPad Pro. I actually never hear anyone talk about InkPad, but it works really well for vector drawing! This is not a paid sponsorship; I just really enjoy it.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

Dreams and long, silent drives in the car. Any lull that lets my mind wander. I also try to look at the world the way my kids do; they always point out things I would otherwise miss.

What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?

The best advice I’ve gotten is to make art for yourself. If I create something that makes me happy and comes out the way I intended, then at least a small portion of other people are bound to connect with it as well.
