Last year, the Women’s March was the largest coordinated protest in U.S. history.
Rooted in the nonviolent philosophy of the Civil Right’s movement, the Women’s March brought together 5 million women across the world as they stood up for the rights of women, LGBTQIA, immigrants and those with disabilities. Their voices did not go unheard—last year’s march turned out only to be a pebble in the pond that put into motion an unstoppable, radiant wave of progress.
This year, on January 21 in Las Vegas, women will gather again for Power To The Polls, an event that will kick off a nationwide voter registration initiative. Additionally, cities all over the world are hosting anniversary events that will celebrate progress and calls for continued change.
The society6 community is filled with artists who use their skills and passions to promote gender equality and a a poignant positivity for those who identify as a woman.
