Simply stated, Now On View celebrates and showcases the artists of Society6 and their work. Get to know them—and then get lost in their gallery.
Let’s start by introducing yourself…
Hi! I’m Taylor Jarvis, but I’m usually known as ‘Pale Girl’.
Current city: Charleston, South Carolina, USA.
What’s your process?
It depends on the shoot (if it’s a hired shoot/just for fun/Art’s sake), but if it’s conceptual/creative, I’m usually the one picking out the outfits, props, and reaching out to models/friends to shoot.
When I think of a concept or become inspired by a theme, I usually doodle my vision or write in my notes what I visually see the finished product being. I love diversity, expressing emotion(s), fashion, not-the-typical poses and props, simple concepts, and complex.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I draw inspiration from music, art, poetry, hearing others experiences, and my own life experiences.
What do people typically say about your work?
It’s quirky, unique, and memorable. I love hearing others favorite photo(s) I’ve taken in the past.
What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?
Don’t do it for the money, Make Art for the sake of making Art. Art can speak for itself, it holds that much power. Whatever you’re feeling as an Artist, you have the ability to show that through your work. That’s really special and I’ll never take it for granted.
How can people find you?
