The October artist playlist is here! Each month we’re asking one music-loving artist to create a custom playlist of their favorite songs. This month, we enlisted the help of Doodle by Meg to create a spooky season playlist just in time for Halloween. Take a listen and check out our chat below!

Introduce yourself and your work!

I’m Meghan aka Doodle By Meg. I’m a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in Oklahoma City. I love the 70’s, spooky things, hand lettering, and lots of color so those are common themes in my work.

Could you tell us about the playlist you put together?

I compiled songs that I enjoy listening to while I work on my designs and hobbies. It’s mainly a lot of indie and alternative songs with some electronic beats.

What song or artist do you have on repeat recently?

I use to be an emo kid back in the 2000s so I always have Fall Out Boy on repeat ?

If your art were a music genre, what would it be?

I think my art would definitely be pop punk with some great electronic beats. I think this playlist represents them well.

How do you describe your musical taste?

I love a lot of genres so it will depend on my mood. My favorite genres are alternative rock, indie, electronic, 70’s classic rock, and 90’s hip hop.

What part does music play in your creative process?

Good music motivates me and makes me stay in a creative mind set.
