Who are you and what do you do? Hi, I’m Céleste and I work in a company where I am a textile designer in fashion, and I do illustration and graphics during my free time.
Current city: I live in Paris with my boyfriend and my one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
Clients: Flow Magazine, Breath and Teen Breath Magazines, Loqi, Pink Ribbon Germany
How did you make these? In general, I come across an image that appeals to me, on Instagram or Pinterest, and that makes me want to make an illustration. So, iPad, my stylus, music and I draw. My favorite moment is the colorization because that’s when I start to see what my illustration will look like. I often do a lot of color variations—I cannot stop—and I find myself with 12 [of the] same illustrations in many different colors and I do not know which one I prefer!
Why did you make these? I make these illustrations because I like to represent the women of today, [and them being] proud of who they are, what they represent, proud of their origins, [the] people they love. I like the idea of drawing women who assume who they are and what they want, women who can be feminists while loving to please, women who work but who also like to be on vacation. In short, free women!
What do people typically say about your work? That they are colorful and bright with a touch of feminism.
