Simply stated, Now On View celebrates and showcases the artists of Society6 and their work. Get to know them—and then get lost in their gallery.
Who are you and what do you do? My name is Djaheda, I’m a soon-to-be mom and a freelance designer and artist. I created LEEMO as an outlet for my artistic explorations—my art safe space—and it has slowly grown into a small business.
Current city: I live in Hamburg with my husband.
Clients: Awesome art and design lovers from around the world, small creative brands, a few bigger brands and shops, an art and music festival, a cultural event, and some book and album covers.
How did you make these? I made these with mixed media on paper, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and a pinch of magic. I love to combine analog and digital tools. I usually start with a small thumbnail-sized sketch, mostly because I tend to forget my ideas if I don’t put them on paper in time. Then I start drawing or painting or making textures, scan the outcome and forget about it. After some time I go through my massive archive of random scans and start recreating my initial idea.
Why did you make these? I guess love. I love creating art. It’s one of the few things that makes me deeply happy and helps me stay sane.
What do people typically say about your work? Colorful and vibrant, clean and minimalistic, and a bit dreamy and magical.
