Could you introduce yourself?
My name is Alex Cabal and I am a freelance illustrator.
Current city:
Los Angeles, California.
What’s your process?
I created my art using Photoshop.
What’s the inspiration behind your designs?
I wanted to make beautiful portraits of art featuring women of color.
What do people typically say about your art?
Most people appreciate the diversity within my work.
What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?
No matter how successful you are in life, being kind, humble, and grateful to others goes a long way. No one wants to work with a jerk or an egomaniac. If I had a project that I would not be able to do, I would recommend a friend or a fellow artist who not only is good at what they do, but are also respectful and genuine people. The art community is smaller than we think, so you never know who will help you out when you need it the most!
