Who are you and what do you do? I’m Amber! I’m an Illustrator and surface pattern designer from the North West of England. I spend most of my time at home in my studio surrounded by my three cats and endless potted plants

How did you make these? I work primarily using traditional techniques. I start off with a quick pencil sketch. Then paint the design using acrylic or gouache (sometimes both mixed together). Lastly I scan in the painting and do some final touching up and editing using my Wacom tablet and Photoshop.
Why did you make these? I’m always inspired hugely by animals, nature and travel. I love botanical gardens, nature books and my cats, of course. I hope to fill people’s home with happiness, color and escapism in the form of wall art and patterned accessories.
