Simply stated, Now On View celebrates and showcases the artists of Society6 and their work. Get to know them—and then get lost in their gallery.

As a way of introducing yourself, who are you and what do you do?

Hi! I’m Lola Nankin, an Argentinian illustrator, designer and artist.

Current city: Curitiba, Brazil

How did you make these?

I use different processes but I usually illustrate on my iPad. Sometimes I experiment with gouache and brush pen. Currently I’m learning punch needle and tufting to add more texture to my work.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

My source of inspiration varies and depends on the mood. It goes from dance, decor, architecture and nature to Art Deco, books and Latin artists from different eras.

What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?

The advice that was given to me when I started was: don’t do fan art. It’s silly but it stuck with me as a way to find my own voice and view on things. However, the advice I give to myself is experiment — experiment with different forms, brushes, colors and materials, and maybe it doesn’t turn out as I want it to the first time but by the second or third I’ll get the hang of it.

Where can people find you?
