Simply stated, Now On View celebrates and showcases the artists of Society6 and their work. Get to know them—and then get lost in their gallery.
As a way of introducing yourself, who are you and what do you do?
I’m nevhada; an artist, and my drawings touch on everything witchy and magical, intersectional feminism and LGBTQIA+ themes, veganism and the environment, as well as decorative pieces and fan art.
How did you make these?
I use Procreate on my old iPad and add some final touches on Photoshop!
Where do you draw your inspiration, and how has being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community helped your creativity?
I’m inspired by everything that catches my attention, from nature to pop culture! Being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community has helped me be completely free to express whatever I want in my work and to also be proud of my artistic expression, not trying to fit into a box of what is expected of me and really do my own thing.
What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?
To be fully yourself and create what your heart wants to create, without being worried about being liked, or having a specific style, or doing “good” or “bad” art. Just keep creating what you’re passionate about. That’s what is important.
