Whether it’s a big living room or a little something for the kitchen, you can easily design, enable and sell rugs through your Society6 shop. Since this is a rectangular product, it’s a breeze to make available for sale as long as you meet our minimum pixel dimensions. Check out our surface design guide to learn best practices when designing for products.
NOTE: If you enabled a rug prior to June 1st, 2019 the creative will be automatically applied and enabled on the updated rug. However, we recommend that you review your designs in your Artist Studio to make sure the orientation, placement and bleed area is as you would like it to be.
In this article we’ll cover all the technical details required to enable and sell rugs in your artist shop.
How do you enable and sell rugs?
You do not need to upload a new asset if your originally uploaded creative meets our minimum pixel dimension requirements. We recommend you review, position and scale any design prior to enabling rugs. If you need to upload a new asset, you can easily do so via your Artist Studio.

- DPI: 100
- Template: Photoshop Template (psd)
- Not automatically enabled in your shop

To edit this product, hover over your avatar (top right of site) and click on Manage My Posts. Find the creative you wish to apply to mini art prints and click the vertical ellipsis, then click Edit products. Filter by category Home Decor to show your mini art print for the creative you’re interested in editing.
Important considerations for editing rugs
We scale your artwork per your customer’s size selection. That assumes you’ve uploaded a file large enough for the largest area rug available. Since all size variations of rugs have a consistent ratio of 2 by 3 (finished product), we’ll simple scale your creative down if a customer wants to purchase the smaller rug sizes.
