Brace yourself. Valentine’s Day is here.

For some, that means red roses, candy hearts and getting into an argument over dinner reservations, while for others it means having your eyes roll back into your head as you endlessly scroll through every couple’s photo booth pics that scream “Look! How! Happy! We! Are!” Whether you’re not into celebrating or are bummed you don’t have that someone special (yet!), Jenny Chang-Rodriguez illustrated a survival guide to help you get through the day.

1. Wipe your tears with dollar bills (metaphorically, of course).

A little retail therapy is just the endorphin rush you need right now. That’s healthy, right?

2. Unplug from your devices.

Do not stalk your ex, your man who’s not your man or that dude who ghosted you on Instagram (or IRL).

3. Seriously, unplug.

Resist the urge to download Tinder again for the tenth time.

4. Make a “baddest self” playlist.

You don’t need anyone to send you sappy love songs from obscure artists. Only make-you-move bangers allowed.

5. Go to bed early and hit up CVS first thing in the morning.

There’s nothing chocolate can’t cure, especially when it’s half-off.
