Artist Spotlight

Collage artist Nazaro Graziano | Monza, Italy

What I’m really enjoying about collage artist Nazaro’s work is the balance of the everyday elements blended seamlessly to create a dreamlike quality with a subliminally dangerous or subversive edge. Then the artist creates custom typography or hand picks lettering that pairs so deftly with the imagery. That’s the kind of energy that tickles my imagination and keeps me wondering what is really going on there and how the artist comes up with ideas. Very much looking forward to seeing more from him in the future!

Color Story

Peachy + Orange

This particular sweet fruit blend is a trending color story that’s been building steam as of late. These artists are leaning toward a brighter color palette that focuses on a lovely blend of sweet and citrus.

About the Curator

Hello there art friends.  My name is Nathan Spoor, Head of Curation at Society6. I’ve got over 25 years as an art curator for galleries and museums, written for several prominent art publications and published three books on contemporary art. As an artist I’m one of you, a painter and one of the first group of artists that took the plunge and joined Society6 in 2009. As the full time S6 curator since 2015 I’m continuously thrilled to be on the forefront of surfacing so much amazing work, sharing rising artists, trending themes and color stories that spark inspiration and fuel the imagination.

Every day I dive into a sea of new art uploads on Society6, surrounded by a virtual treasure trove of artists from around the world sharing their original works paintings, photographs, illustrations and designs, and each week I’m going to bring it to you on the Curator’s Digest.
