In this digest, allow me to do the discovering for you by highlighting new trends and rising artists that have caught my eye.

There’s a certain sense of perspective and ambience showcased in the photos by Agata Dobrzańska from Wroclaw, Poland. Her ability to capture mood within everyday scenarios shines with a surreal and subtle humor.
Trending
Combs!
We know them as little pronged, plastic devices (unless you’re using some fancy, sustainably sourced version). They’re pocket grooming aids to the stars and the rest of us: COMBS. Where did they come from? When did they get here? I don’t know. But I’m just glad they showed up.
Color Story
Great-dient
OK, let’s be honest, I was trying to be punny there. But you’ve read this far, so we’re in this together. Gradients are having quite a moment right now, and as far as color stories go, they’ve got a lot to say.
Artist Spotlight
Lucas Makamatsu | Sao Paulo, Brazil
Vibrant colors are a major theme when it comes to Lucas Makamatsu’s abstract works. Lucas creates simple and modern compositions to communicate his illustrated messages through his rich and stimulating scenes.
About the Curator
Hello there art friends. My name is Nathan Spoor, Head of Curation at Society6. I have over 25 years of experience as an art curator for galleries and museums, I’ve written for several prominent art publications and published three books on contemporary art. I’m also a painter and a member of one of the first groups of artists that took the plunge and joined Society6 in 2009. Since 2015, I’ve been the full-time Society6 curator, continuously thrilled to be on the forefront of surfacing so much amazing work, sharing rising artists, trending themes and color stories that spark inspiration and fuel the imagination.
Each day I dive into a sea of new art uploads on Society6, surrounded by a virtual treasure trove of artists from around the world sharing their original works paintings, photographs, illustrations and designs.
