When it comes to interior trends, stark minimalism seems to be on its way out—but that doesn’t mean that simple shapes are going away any time soon.
If anything, they’re making a resurgence, but this time with a twist. We’re seeing pared down line work and abstract designs in pops of the boldest, brightest colors around; think Josef Albers, Frank Stella or even Matisse’s beloved cut-out collages. If you’re looking for an impactful (and practical!) alternative to traditional minimalism, look for home decor pieces and artwork that execute simplicity with spirit.
