Simply stated, Now On View celebrates and showcases the artists of Society6 and their work. Get to know them—and then get lost in their gallery.
As a way of introducing yourself, who are you and what do you do?
My name is Alexandra Cameron, I’m a natural light photographer and a bit of a dreamer.
Current city: Cambridge, UK
How did you make these?
Some of my prints are digital double exposures and digital art, some are documentary images, and some are conceptual art made with real giant props. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but I like to keep things interesting. Ultimately, I love making art, so I can’t help but dabble in different genres.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Music, places, artists, photographers, fashion, stories, life. Mostly, though, there are three big inspirations: movies, people and light.
What is the best advice you’ve gotten as an artist or the most important thing you’ve learned?
The most important thing I’ve found is to never become complacent. A number of times in my life I’ve gotten into a safe routine of creating similar images and had to pull myself out and challenge myself. Never settle in one place; always push yourself to do more.
