With all the romance floating around in the ether these days, let’s take a minute to remember what the dating scene is really like: ahem, starts with a t and rhymes with tender. Gone are the days of pining for someone, hoping they received your thoughtfully penned letter (read receipts show that they did and apparently do not care). And why for the love of god does your ex watch ALL of your Instagram stories? I mean, HE broke up with you! Ugh, I digress. Of course modern love isn’t made entirely of infuriating interactions, and even the real-deal is made better with a dash of honesty. Illustrator Sara Lyons knows a lot about real love and real life.
