The heat is on for most of us as summer is in full swing. The mood is bright and bold and the latest trends certainly show it.
Summer is a time to live out loud and be seen which means people take more chances with their colors and patterns. And not to bring down the mood for all the students out there but as we consider summer, we must also consider that back to school season is only a month or two away. While you take in the latest summer trends, it’s helpful to know that our back to school campaigns kick into gear by the middle of July. Crazy how quickly the year flies by!

Trends with Benefits is a quarterly series where we highlight creative themes that our merchandising and curation teams have been keeping an eye on. We surround ourselves with art every day, so we’ve gotten pretty good at identifying trends as they pop up. Sometimes we’re even able to predict trends based on sales data and the artwork artists are uploading. We don’t like telling any artist what to create, but if you work better with creative prompts, these are themes that our merchandising team recommends considering for the next few months.

Artist Studio Update: New Markup Tool
It is now easier than ever to set your prices on art prints, framed prints and canvas prints. We recently launched a new feature in your Artist Studio that allows you to quickly update your markup on all art prints, framed prints, and canvas prints at once, or choose to set unique markups on individual designs. Whichever approach you prefer, this new tool makes it simpler to control what you earn!
Just Launched: Rugs are back and better than ever
We relaunched rugs earlier this month. The results are in and customers are loving the new look! They’re now made from a woven, polyester chenille, giving them a premium feel and a durable, easy to clean texture.
NOTE: If you enabled a rug prior to June 1st, 2019 the creative will be automatically applied and enabled on the updated rug. However, we recommend that you review your designs in your Artist Studio to make sure the orientation, placement and bleed area is as you would like it to be.
